Each award of units is called a grant. You may have one, or several from different years. Each is listed separately because each has its own start date and its own rules.
What each row means#
- Units
- How many units this grant is worth in total.
- Earned
- How much of it is yours so far.
- Estimated value
- Your earned units from this grant at today's published unit value. It is an estimate because the unit value changes as the company performs.
- Granted on
- The date the award starts counting from. Your earning schedule runs from here, not from your start date at the company.
- Status
- Where the grant is up to. See the table below.
Statuses#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Waiting period | Inside the opening stretch. Nothing earned yet. |
| Active | Earning normally. |
| Fully earned | The whole grant is yours. Nothing further to wait for. |
| Cancelled | The grant was withdrawn. Your admin can explain why. |
Why the value can move#
Two things change it. Your earned units go up as you progress through the schedule, and the unit value changes when the company publishes new results. Neither is something you need to act on. See How unit value is set.
Note. If estimated value shows a dash, your company has not published a unit value yet. The units are still recorded and still earning.
