How to get into your account the first time, and what to do if you cannot.
Your first time#
You do not create your own account. Somebody invites you, and the invitation arrives by email.
- 1Open the invitation email and click the button inside it.
- 2Choose a password. Use something you do not use anywhere else.
- 3You land straight in your portal. That is it.
Invitation links expire. If the link says it is no longer valid, ask whoever invited you to send it again. Nothing is lost by resending.
Coming back later#
Go to longpass.co and select Sign in, or use your company's own page if you were given one. Company pages look like longpass.co/c/your-company and show your employer's name and logo, which is a good way to be sure you are in the right place.
You can sign in with your email and password, or with Continue with Google if your work email is a Google account. Both lead to the same place. Use whichever you set up first.
Forgotten password#
- 1On the sign in page, select Forgot password.
- 2Type the email address you were invited with.
- 3Open the email that arrives and follow the link to set a new password.
Note. The reset email goes to the address on your account. If nothing arrives within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then ask your admin to confirm which address they invited.
If sign in will not work#
- The password box is empty
- Longpass will not submit an empty password. Type it in, or use Forgot password if you do not have one yet.
- It says the details do not match
- The email or the password is wrong. Passwords are case sensitive. Try a reset rather than guessing repeatedly.
- You never received an invitation
- Ask your company admin to check the address they used and resend. Invitations can also land in spam.
- A pop up window closed itself
- This happens with Google sign in if the window is blocked. Allow pop ups for longpass.co, or sign in with your email and password instead.
